A note on the cut
Covered, as a matter of beauty.
Quorva is a duster collection, cut as elegant covered fashion. The same rules hold for every style, whether it is the leopard velour duster or a quilted ivory one. A wrap and an open-front style are still made to close. Quiet beauty — not costume, and not a slogan borrowed from anyone’s prayer.
These pieces work in a heimish household because of how they are made: long, closed, and opaque. We do not claim religious certification, and we do not dress the clothes up in language that isn’t ours. The standard is simply the garment.
- Sleeves
- Full length, finishing at the wrist. No sleeveless, no cold shoulder, no elbow sleeve.
- Necklines
- Crew, funnel, or a collar that buttons or ties to the throat. A wrap crosses high and fastens. An easier front has interior buttons or snaps so it can close. No deep opening, no off-shoulder.
- Length
- Floor, or ankle length that still covers past mid-calf. The duster is the garment — long enough to wear as the outer layer.
- Cloth
- Opaque velour, velvet, ponte, quilting, jersey, brushed knit, and linen. No sheer panels and no cutouts.
If a studio picture and a spec ever disagree, the spec is the garment we intend to make: wrist, closed neck, ankle or floor, opaque. The photographs are generated to show that cut. They are not pictures of customers.
