The cloth

For a long evening at home, this is a dense paisley in burgundy and a darker tone, small enough to stay quiet from across the room, cut as a covered robe. The terry stays opaque. High stand collar, buttoned through. Buttons run from the collar downward, so the front meets. A narrow lace trim finishes the cuff and is backed with the same opaque cloth, so the wrist stays covered. The hem falls to the ankle and still covers past mid-calf. You can sit down in it, and the front still meets.
