The cloth
For the first hours at home, before you go out, this is a dense paisley in plum and a darker tone, small enough to stay quiet from across the room, cut as a covered housecoat. The fleece stays opaque. Funnel neck, front sewn closed. The funnel is sewn closed. The sash only marks the waist. Smocking at the cuff eases the wrist without opening it. The hem falls to the ankle and still covers past mid-calf. The cut leaves room for layers.
Opaque brushed fleece in plum, matte and warm. The paisley sits in the cloth, not on a thin ground.
