The cloth
For a long evening at home, this is a small rose floral on a olive ground, dark enough to read as cloth first, cut as a covered robe. The terry stays opaque. Band collar, snapped to the throat. Snaps close the collar and the front, one after another. A self sash marks the waist over a front that is already closed. The hem falls to the ankle and still covers past mid-calf. It is a layer with room, sized the way the rest of the house is sized.
Opaque cotton terry in olive. The loops are dense enough to stay covered as the cloth moves. The floral sits in the cloth, not on a thin ground.
