Orchard Sage Stripe Quilt Housecoat

The cloth

For the first hours at home, before you go out, this is narrow stripes in sage and a deeper shade, cut as a covered housecoat. The quilted cloth stays opaque. Notch collar with interior snaps that close the front. Interior snaps close it from the notch of the collar downward. The easier front is still a front that fastens. A narrow lace trim finishes the cuff and is backed with the same opaque cloth, so the wrist stays covered. The hem falls to the ankle and still covers past mid-calf. It is a layer with room, sized the way the rest of the house is sized.

Opaque quilted cloth in sage. The stitch gives a little structure; the coverage does not thin out. The stripe sits in the cloth, not on a thin ground.

Care
