For a long evening at home, this is solid burgundy, unpatterned and fully covered, cut as a covered robe. The quilted cloth stays opaque. Overlapping shawl collar that ties closed at the throat. The wrap overlaps high and ties, so the neck stays covered and the front stays met. Two ruffle tiers sit just above the hem. They add shape, and they do not shorten it. The hem falls to the ankle and still covers past mid-calf. The cut leaves room for layers.
