The cloth
The sash is for the waist, not for an opening. The funnel sits at the base of the neck, the front stays covered, and the velour falls in one line past mid-calf to the ankle. It is something you would wear to greet someone, and then keep on.
Plush velour in a wine a touch brighter than deep burgundy, still firmly in the evening palette.
