The cloth
A ankle-length quilted cloth piece for the days you are simply dressed and going out the door. Atelier Gilt Navy Quilt Duster is navy cloth traced with a thin gilt line. Snaps close the collar and the front, one after another. A smocked panel across the back gives ease without pulling the front open. Sleeves reach the wrist and stop there. The hem falls to the ankle and still covers past mid-calf. You can sit down in it, and the front still meets.
Opaque quilted cloth in navy. The stitch gives a little structure; the coverage does not thin out. The gilt sits in the cloth, not on a thin ground.
