The cloth
A ankle-length velvet piece for Shabbos, when the layer should feel considered and still easy. Coast Navy Velvet Duster is an even navy, quiet from across the room. A covered zip closes from the collar toward the hem and is meant to stay up. A narrow piping line finds the collar, the front edge, and the hem, then stops. Sleeves reach the wrist and stop there. The hem falls to the ankle and still covers past mid-calf. The cut leaves room for layers.
Opaque velvet in navy, with a low sheen and a dense pile. The color is the whole story.
