The cloth
Pearl Gilt Ink Velvet Duster is for a Yom Tov table, when the cloth should feel set apart. Ink cloth traced with a thin gilt line, in opaque velvet. Interior snaps close it from the notch of the collar downward. The easier front is still a front that fastens. Sleeves finish at the wrist. The hem meets the floor. Two ruffle tiers sit just above the hem. They add shape, and they do not shorten it. The body is eased, not fitted to the skin.
Opaque velvet in ink, with a low sheen and a dense pile. The gilt sits in the cloth, not on a thin ground.
